I can see your point of view, and your raise good points. It is not fair to the people that live in hard times. I was once there, so I have a different outlook on it than most. The main issue with trying to turn American society into a socialist society is the millionaire politicians that are trying to get it accomplished. There are those that are struggling in the general population that are pushing it, but they are following the agendas of the rich politicians. The people that own 3 houses, a private jet, 5 cars, are the same people that want the general population to share everything. If they are so for true socialism, shouldn't they live by example? See, I am not 100% against socialism, what I am against are the people in this country trying to put it in place. Because of their greed, they will turn this country into "oligarchy" as you say. That is just one of the cruel truths that people in America have to deal with. There is way too much greed in this country for a socialist society to ever really work properly, which in turn, only hurts the people of this country.
